About Zack

    Zack Wittman (me, I wrote this.) is an independent freelance photographer and videographer based in Tampa Bay, Florida. He (me) specializes in documentary, portrait and editorial photography.

Zack’s vision and approach to documentary photography allows him to capture life in elegant, intimate, storytelling photographs. He has been documenting life in Florida since 2015, receiving bylines in your favorite publications.

Photographing “The Florida Experience” (patent pending) and beyond.

Before shifting to freelance work, Zack has been a photographer at The Tampa Bay Times, The Bradenton Herald, The Boston Globe, The Flint Journal, and The Midland Daily News, shooting mostly editorial and portrait work.

    Awards and recognitions include:

• Eddie Adams Workshop 2014 Nikon Award Recipient.

• Second place in the National Hearst Photojournalism Championship in 2014, and a Championship Finalist in 2015

• Michigan Press Photographers Association’s “College Photographer of the Year” three years in a row, in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
